A turnover is everything between one guest leaving and the next arriving. This is the list our cleaners work through; use it for your own cleaner, or let us do it.
Before you start
- Photograph anything broken, stained or left behind before touching it: that’s your record if you need to claim for damage.
- Strip the beds and start the towels moving, so linen isn’t the last job.
- Open windows if the weather allows.
Kitchen
- Empty, wipe and dry the dishwasher; put everything away where the next guest will look for it.
- Clean the hob, oven door, microwave inside and out, and the kettle and toaster.
- Clear the fridge of guest food and wipe the shelves.
- Wipe cupboard fronts, handles and worktops; mop the floor.
Bathroom
- Descale and clean the shower, screen, bath, basin and taps.
- Clean the toilet inside and out, including the base and behind.
- Hair out of plugholes, mirror polished, floor mopped.
- Fresh towels and a bath mat laid out.
Bedrooms
- Make every bed with fresh linen, sheets tight and pillows plumped.
- Check under beds and in drawers for anything left behind.
- Dust surfaces and lamps; vacuum, including under the bed.
Living room and hall
- Cushions straightened, throws folded, remote controls wiped.
- Dust, vacuum and mop; doormat shaken.
Restock
- Toilet roll, hand soap, shower gel and shampoo, dishwasher tablets, washing-up liquid, bin bags, tea, coffee and sugar.
- Note anything running low for next time.
Before you leave
- Bins out and recycling sorted the way the building expects.
- Heating set, lights off, windows locked.
- A photo of every room, so the owner sees the flat as the guest will.
- Keys back in the key safe and the code checked.
Every Lock & Clean turnover works through this list and ends with dated photos in your owner app. Book cleaning or get a price.
