Ireland: the short-term letting register
The Department of Enterprise, Tourism and Employment says a national short-term letting register, managed by Fáilte Ireland, will open on 1 December 2026, and that hosts are to be registered by 31 December 2026. It covers stays of up to 21 nights, and the registration number must be shown when the property is listed on an online platform. The department notes the legislation is still going through the Oireachtas, so details may change. (enterprise.gov.ie: short-term letting, Fáilte Ireland: Short-Term Letting Register)
